The design resource is the U.S. Navy women's dungaree pants. Women's Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service, commonly known as WAVES, is a pair of pants worn by a women's branch of the Naval Reserve that was established in 1942 during World War II.

It has a thick straight silhouette with a deep rise, and is designed to fit a woman's body by tucking in the front and darts on the back. It has a wide hem, no belt loops, and a silhouette that falls beautifully from the waist to the hem.

It reproduces the peculiar vintage "feeling bad", and the most distinctive feature is the back pocket. The irregular shape of the pocket is sewn so that the stitches protrude, and the corners are purposefully sewn with rounded corners.

The WAVES logo tag, classic urea button, and double-toothed metal buckle are also characteristic of the attention to detail that is reminiscent of vintage.
